Total Joint Replacement

Practice limited to Orthopaedic Surgery, subspecialty in hip and knee replacement surgery.

Dr. Forster received his medical degree from McGill University. His orthopaedic residency was performed at the Montreal General Hospital.

Dr. Forster completed specialized training in joint replacement during a fellowship program in Exeter, England at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopedic Hospital and at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. He served as the overseas registrar at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Hospital and at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

Dr. Forster is certified in orthopaedic surgery, both by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Forster is a founding member of the Kettering Joint Center and has served as the Medical Director of the program since it's inception almost 10 years ago. He has practiced in Dayton for over 25 years. Since 2001, he has performed over 7,500 joint replacements.

Sheela Patel, MPAS, M.Ed., PA-C, ATC, CSCS is Dr. Forster's Physician Assistant. She received her undergraduate degree in athletic training and sports medicine training from University of Cincinnati and her master's degree in sport administration from Xavier University. She has worked as an athletic trainer at the University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, and Miami Valley Hospital prior to receiving her master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from Kettering College.

Christine Clegg, RN, CNOR is Dr. Forster's scrub nurse. Chris graduated from Sinclair Community College in 1985 with her Associate Degree in nursing. She earned her certification for professional achievement in Perioperative Nursing Practice (CNOR) in 2002. Chris has been assisting with total joint procedures and orthopaedic surgeries since 1996.

Kim Ross is Dr. Forster's secretary. Kim has worked for Dr. Forster since 1999. She can be reached at (937) 531-6703. She is in the office Monday and Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm, Tuesday and Friday 7:30am-4:30pm, and Wednesday 8:00am-4:30pm

While Dr. Forster is the only surgeon on the team, we all work together to provide the best quality of care for the patient.
