Elizabeth Bender, RT (R)Chief MRI Technologist and Clinical SupervisorElizabeth has been with the Orthopaedic Institute of Dayton since the inception of the MRI Department in September 2004. She has an Associates of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. Elizabeth has her formal education in Magnetic Resonance Imaging through Sinclair Community College. Elizabeth was instrumental in establishing and meeting the Ohio Department of Health compliance policy granting the Orthopaedic Institute of Dayton licensure in the State of Ohio as a Freestanding Diagnostic Imaging Center. In addition, she worked diligently with both Hitachi Medical Systems and Proscan Imaging in providing image acquisition to the American College of Radiology. Because of her efforts, as of November 17, 2005 the Orthopaedic Institute of Technology received MRI Accreditation of the Commission on Quality and Safety by the American College of Radiology. Elizabeth not only takes pride in her accomplishments at the Orthopaedic Institute of Technology but truly loves what she does. She has a real passion for MRI and patient care. She treats each patient with the utmost care and individualism, understanding that having an MRI scan can be an intimidating experience. Elizabeth is a member of the Radiologic Science Advisory Committee at Sinclair Community College. She is a licensed Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio and is certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). She is a member of the following professional organizations: OSRT (Ohio State Radiologic Technologists), ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) and MTMI (Medical Technology Management Institute). Outside of work, Elizabeth most enjoys spending time with her husband, Ken and their new son, Kaden. |
